Requirement for the role:

Eco Verde Energy Limited (EVE), is part of the Privilege Holdings 2 Limited group of companies. Founded in 2018, the Group’s principal activity continues to be as a provider of funding and project management for high quality, high return waste to energy and anaerobic digestion projects.

EVE was established in 2020 to provide Operator and Management Services to SPVs within the renewable energy sector.

As Financial Accountant the purpose of this role is to ensure accurate and timely reporting for each SPV with particular attention to the management of working capital and cashflow.

Responsibilities and key duties:

Revenue

·        Work with the SPVs to ensure robust recording / collection of revenue data

·        Reporting and submissions to external bodies e.g. Ofgem

·        Ensure that invoicing is timely and accurate

·        Apply cash collection procedures when necessary

·        Analysis of SPV meter readings to produce revenue accruals for management accounts

Feedstock

·        Work with the SPVs to ensure robust recording / collection of feedstock data

·        Check and review supplier invoices / backing to feedstock contracts

·        Ensure accurate stock and usage records are maintained

·        Provide input to feedstock contract pricing

·        Analysis of feedstock to produce usage and stock figures for management accounts

 

Cashflow

·        Check and submit drawdowns in line with SPV requirements

·        Produce 13-week cashflow forecasts for each SPV

·        Maintain SPV interest payments in line with loan agreements

·        Highlight areas of concern and provide suggestions of how best to manage cash

·        Bank reconciliations for management accounts

 

Financial Reporting / Audit

·        Responsible for SPV statutory accounts and corporation tax reporting

·        Work with the SPVs to maximise R&D tax credit claims

·        Assist with the resolution of Group audit queries

·        Produce P&L forecasts to support Group SPV equity valuations

General duties

·        Ensure that purchasing procedures are adhered to by each SPV

·        Assist the EVE Operations Directors with SPV insurance renewals

·        Responsible for SPV business rates reviews working with the VOA

·        Ad hoc requests from the Finance Director

 

Skills & Qualifications

·        Professional accounting qualification (ACCA or equivalent)

·        Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role

·        Working knowledge of SAGE and other accounts software packages

·        Advanced Excel skills

·        Accuracy and high levels of attention to detail

·        An enthusiastic team player who develops effective relationships with the team and works well in partnership with others

·        Adaptable and flexible approach to work

·        Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to multi task

·        Willing to embrace change and challenge processes to improve efficiency

·        Able to manage workloads and priorities and work under pressure to tight deadlines

·        Excellent written and verbal communications skills

·        A clean driving license and prepared to travel (if required)
